Cystoid Macular Edema - is retinal swelling and cyst formation in the macular area; usually results in temporary decrease in vision, though may be permanent. Frequently occurs to some extent after cataract surgery. Specific cause is unknown. You can see there is significant swelling in the late phase in the macular area.
