Epithelial Ingrowth is a LASIK complication in which cells from the cornea surface layer (epitheilial cells) begin to grow underneath the corneal flap. This patient had LASIK 7-8yrs prior to this visit. To treat this would mean to try and peel the flap up and scrape off the epithelial cells and lay the flap back down.
