Herpes Zoster aka Shingles is extremely painful, blisterlike skin lesions on the face, sometimes with inflammation of the cornea, sclera, cilary body and optic nerve. Caused by the chicken pox virus.

Ulcer an area of epithelial tissue loss from the corneal surface; associated with inflammatory cells in the cornea and Anterior Chamber. Usually caused by a backerial, fungal or viral infection.
