Descemet Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK) - is replacing the innermost layer of the cornea, the Endothelial layer. Instead of doing a Penetrating Keratoplasty (Corneal Transplant) a DSEK would be done if the Endothelial layer is diseased such as Fuch's endothelial Dystrophy. A DSEK has a lower chance of rejection versus a Penetrating Keratoplasty.
